Escalating costs of cultivation, diminishing returns and indiscriminate use of chemical inputs has created lot of environmental, sustainability, soil and environmental health problem and human and animal health concern.  Some of problems have assumed threatening proportions and need to be addressed on priority.
Jalna is predominantly on agriculture base economy and agrarian society.  From the start of green revolution in India, farmer in Jalna district adopt fertilizer application and today he use 2-3 times more chemical fertilizer than RDF, due to this practice farmer increase cost of cultivation decrease soil fertility and productivity and also decrease economic status day by day.
By observing  this problem KVK, Marathwada Sheti Sahayya Mandal, Jalna start soil health clinic to analyze soil, water and plant sample from 2007.
In the soil health clinic analyze all physical and chemical properties in the soil including macro and micro nutrient which are essential for plant growth, water testing for the use of irrigation and detect deficiency and toxicity of nutrient in plant.
By observing the analysis, soil health clinic gives proper suggestion to apply fertilizer or to reclaim soil etc. as per easy availability in market.
Along with this soil health clinic start facility of Mobile Agri. Polyclinic (MAP) with the help of NABARD. MSSM is the first agency to provide this kind of service to the farmers at farm level.   In this service,  to provide facilities such as soil, water & tissue analysis, fertilizers recommendation, water treatment diseases and pest diagnosis, to suggest proper control measure, water conservation techniques, composting techniques and try to reduce gap between farmer and new technology
By providing all these facilities we can reduce cost of cultivation of farmer up to some extent and increase the yield with the help of IPM up to 200 %.
