The village Kumbhefal is located at 20 km away from Aurangabad-Jalna Road side in Aurangabad block the population of the village is approximately 3000.
Before 10 years ago the land of the village was good quality land. Secio Economic condition was better than present situation. Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) has taken 453 ha land for MIDC therefore land quantity is already decreased, Agriculture is main occupation of majority of families But due to day to day increasing drought prone situation water table is going down majority wells becomes dry in winter and summer season so the occupation agriculture, is going to loss side irrigation is less than 20%. Secoundly because of the MIDC pollution, land pollution is also one problem in front of the farmers. Due to such types of situation majority families are under bank and private loan of RS. Above than 20, 00,000 Lac for daily needs. Migration is also taking place in area for job.
Considering above problems it was necessary to make plan for environmental protection, soil and water conservation and socio-economic sustainable development of the village. The villagers of kumbhefal has presented the situation in front of respected Vijayanna Borade, Director, Marathwada Sheti Sahayya Mandal and respected MRS. Amla Ruiyaji, Chairman, Akar Charitable Trust, Bombay. Plan of water and soil conservation is a taken place in the year 2005 following focus points.
